Cell Phone controlled robotics project

  • The project is designed to develop a robotic vehicle that is controlled by a cell phone.
  • DTMF command from one  phone  to another  phone which is mounted on the robot.
  • These commands are fed to a microcontroller of 8051 family to operate the vehicle movement through motor interface.
  • The main scope of project is to send commands from one cell phone to be received by another cell phone mounted on the robot to receive the DTMF (Dual Tone Multi Frequency) mode commands which are then decoded by a DTMF decoder.
  • The DTMF decoder output is fed to the microcontroller which is programmed to control two DC motors accordingly.
  • Further the project can be enhanced by interfacing it with additional motors for multipurpose activity.

Autonomous line following robotics project

  • The line following robot is one of the self-operating simple autonomous robots. That detects and follows a line drawn on the area.
  • The line is indicated by white line on a black surface or black line on a white surface.
  • This application depends upon the sensors and their positions.
  • Here we are using two IR sensors for path detection purpose.
  • These sensors are mounted at front end of the robot. User has a flexibility to adjust the sensitivity of the sensors.
  • The micro controller is programmed in such a way that the whole circuit is controlled by the micro controller.

Autonomous edge Avoider robotics Project

  • The edge avoider robot is one of the self-operating simple autonomous robots.
  • The micro controller based edge avoider robot detects an edge and avoids it by turning or stopping.
  • It has three sections (sensor controlling and driver)
  • Sensor section contains three sets of IR sensors which are position front right and left. User has the flexibility to adjust the sensitivity of the sensor. The sensed data is fed to the comparator which in turn is then send to the microcontroller.
  • The microcontroller is programmed in such a way that it drives the motor according to the sensors input.
  • The driver section contains the motor driver IC L293D which acts as an bridge between motors and microcontroller.

Autonomous robotics vacuum cleaner project

  • Autonomous robotics vacuum cleaner as the name suggests it is autonomous i.e it operates of its own .The user only has to switch it on.
  • It has three ultrasonic sensors mounted on front, right, and left, these sensors help the robot in avoiding obstacles and finding the suitable path.
  • It has a LCD display which displays the direction, the robot is taking i.e moving forward, turning right, turning left ,moving back.
  • It has a in built vacuum suction chamber made out of 12v brushless dc motor and other plastic materials. The chamber can be vacated once filled.
  • The driving section consists of two 60 RPM DC geared motor and L293D motor driver.
  • The whole system is controlled by ARDUINO UNO micro controller.
  • The mechanical body is constructed with steel and acrylic sheet.

  • For cleaning it has three sets of spongy rollers .The front roller is required to be dipped in water before cleaning.

RF controlled land mine detector robotics project

  • Land mine detection robots are useful in finding the buried underground landmines in fields or on roads. It is very useful in military.
  • It consists of a metal detector unit which is placed on a swinging arm .The arm can be made to swing in both direction. The command for this is given by RF transmitter. Once the metal detector detects  any metallic surface .The buzzer is activated.
  • The driving section consists of two 100 RPM DC geared motor and L293D motor driver.
  • The whole system is controlled by 8051 microcontroller.
  • The Transmitter section consists of 4 keys (Right, left, forward, backward). For swinging the arm two button has to be pressed together either (right, left) or (Forward, backward)
  • Operating distance up to 80 meters.

RF controlled Scissor robotics project

  • Scissor robot is a great combination of electronics and mechanical. It is generally used for lifting any object to a certain height.
  • It consists of a mechanical scissor arm .The arm is driven by 60 RPM DC geared motor which in turn  is operated by RF remote control .The arm can be raised or lowered.
  • The driving section consists of two 100 RPM DC geared motor and L293D motor driver.
  • The whole system is controlled by 8051 based microcontroller.

Gesture controlled Robotics project

  • This project can be used as a spy robot.
  • In this project robot is controlled wirelessly using hand gesture.
  • The transmitter section consists of an accelerometer which detects the tilting position and generates the equivalent signals .These signals are then interfaced with RF transmitter and transmitted.
  • The receiver section on receiving the signals decodes the signal and sends it to micro controller.
  • The whole system is controlled by ARDUINO UNO
  • The driving section consists of two 100 RPM DC geared motor and L293D motor driver.
  • An LCD display and a wireless camera is placed in front of the robot. Wireless camera sends live images on TV screen up to 50 meters. The LCD displays the direction being taken by the robot.
